Window World Climbs to Top 100 on Annual Ranking of Largest Franchises

N. WILKESBORO, N.C. (October 5, 2021) — Window World®, America’s largest replacement window and exterior remodeling company, is proud to announce its inclusion on one of the franchise industry’s most prestigious lists. The Franchise Times Top 400® is an annual ranking of the largest U.S. franchise brands based on global systemwide sales.

Window World was ranked number 90 on the list for 2021, climbing 33 spots since last year’s ranking was published and breaking into the top 100 for the first time in company history.

“Climbing our way to the top 100 brands on the Franchise Times Top 400 demonstrates Window World’s persistent growth as a company, and it reflects our commitment to be the top choice for consumers when they are ready to update their homes,” says Window World Chairman and CEO Tammy Whitworth. “We could not have enjoyed such success without the hard work and dedication of our rapidly expanding family of franchise owners that remained resilient through 2020’s ups and downs.”

Previously the Top 200+, Franchise Times renamed its annual ranking of the 400 largest U.S.- based franchise systems by global systemwide sales to better encompass the biggest brands in franchising, along with promising young concepts in growth mode. The rigorous approach to research remains the same, said Franchise Times Editor-in-Chief Laura Michaels. The project is the result of a five-month research and reporting effort that leads to the most credible and objective franchise ranking available.

The research involved builds upon a database that was established in 1999, the Franchise Times reports about the yearly undertaking. The research team uses a combination of companies’ voluntary reports and publicly available data, including the franchises’ most recent franchise disclosure documents and Securities and Exchange Commission filings.

This is the latest in a string of accolades for Window World. The company earned a spot on Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500® list in 2021, and it was designated a “2021 Military Friendly Employer” this year for its efforts in creating meaningful career paths for military veterans. The franchise also recently marked the milestone sale of its 20 millionth window.
