Window World Welcomes Newest Team Member, Lincoln, Through Partnership with America’s VetDogs
NORTH WILKESBORO, N.C. - April 23, 2026 - Window World is proud to announce the addition of a very special new team member, Lincoln, a future service dog sponsored by Window World Corporate through its partnership with America’s VetDogs.
Lincoln, a yellow Labrador Retriever, will begin his journey toward becoming a highly trained service dog for a veteran or first responder in need. As part of Window World’s ongoing commitment to supporting veterans through the Window World Military Initiative (WWMI), this partnership reflects the company’s dedication to giving back to those who have served. Over the next several months, he will be raised and trained with the help of Window World Senior Graphic Designer Meredith Smith, who has volunteered to take on the important role of his puppy raiser. Lincoln will also spend time at Window World’s corporate headquarters in North Wilkesboro, where team members will play a part in his socialization and early development.
“Supporting America’s VetDogs is a natural extension of who we are as a company,” said Tammy Whitworth, Chairman and CEO of Window World. “Lincoln represents more than just a puppy. He represents independence, hope, and the life-changing impact these incredible dogs have on veterans and first responders. We’re proud to be part of his journey from the very beginning.”
Through structured training, daily routines, and consistent socialization, Lincoln will learn the foundational skills needed to advance into formal service dog training. His future role may include assisting a veteran with mobility challenges, providing support for individuals with disabilities, or helping a first responder regain independence after injury.
“Bringing Lincoln home has been such a special experience, not just for me, but for our entire Window World family,” said Meredith Smith. “Watching him learn and grow each day, knowing the difference he’ll one day make in someone’s life, is incredibly rewarding. He’s already brought so much joy to our office, and we can’t wait to see all that he accomplishes.”
This initiative builds on Window World’s broader commitment to supporting veterans through WWMI, supporting organizations and efforts that help improve quality of life and independence for those who have served.
