$13 Million Over 13 Years: Window World Reaches Milestone of $13 million to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

N. WILKESBORO, N.C. (December 21, 2021) — Window World®, America’s largest exterior remodeling company, is thrilled to present St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® with a donation of $474,000 — which brings the total amount the company has raised for St. Jude kids for over the last 13 years to just over $13 million.

“We at Window World are blown away by the passion put into our fundraising efforts for St. Jude. This milestone donation would not have been possible without the hard work and generosity of our franchise owners, our customers and our strategic partners,” said Tammy Whitworth, Chairman & CEO of Window World. “St. Jude depends on the kindness of others to support its mission to provide support and services to children and their families in their time of need – something which is truly invaluable.”

St. Jude is dedicated to advancing cures and prevention for childhood cancer and other catastrophic pediatric diseases. No child is ever denied treatment based on race, religion or their family’s ability to pay.

Window World’s contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital come through the company’s charitable arm, Window World Cares©. Window World and its franchisees across the country worked tirelessly throughout the year to raise money to benefit the children of St. Jude. Fundraisers included:

  • National sponsorships and participation/promotion of events such as the St. Jude 5k Walk/Run, St. Jude Thanks & Giving® campaign and the St. Jude Dream Home® Giveaway.
  • Private auction in partnership with country music singer Lee Brice which featured signed guitars and hats.
  • Local charity events and sponsorships from franchisees such as comedy shows, auctions and golf tournaments.
  • Customer contributions on Window World sales invoices.

"We are so grateful for the support of generous partners like Window World and proud to celebrate this fundraising milestone and this commitment to make an impact the lives of St. Jude kids,” said Richard Shadyac Jr., President and CEO of ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude. “For 13 years, this support has helped to ensure no family ever receives a bill for treatment, travel, housing, or food so they can focus on helping their child live. And because childhood cancer is a multi-year, multi-trillion-dollar problem, continued support is crucial as St. Jude embarks on a six-year, $11.5 billion strategic plan to triple its global investment and impact more of the 400,000 kids with cancer around the world each year."

Named for the patron saint of lost and hopeless causes, St. Jude is where doctors often send their toughest cases, because St. Jude has the world's best survival rates for some of the most aggressive forms of childhood cancers. Thanks to partners like Window World, no family ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
