Michael Lane II

Director of Sales


At an early age, Michael Lane proved to be an inquisitive natural learner and self-starter who sought out problems to unravel and broken things to revive. From disassembling and rebuilding a lawn mower at the age of 10 and the motor from his mother’s 1973 T-Bird when he was 12, to pouring his first residential concrete slab at 15, Michael embarked on a lifelong journey of building and revitalizing objects to achieve success.

Michael’s servant’s heart has been cultivated over a lifetime and is apparent to all who know him.

Hailing from an historic Tampa family of builders, Michael started working on weekends for his grandfather’s cement company at the age of 12. He went on to become a Construction Superintendent at the age of 21, attaining the status of Master Carpenter and General Contractor shortly thereafter. In his spare time, Michael was recognized as one of Tampa’s premier design-build homebuilders, with his company winning the Historic Preservation of the Year Award in 1999. Before long, he was recruited to launch one of Tampa’s first major window company's new branch operations in 2002 and assumed the role of General Sales Manager for another prominent home improvement company. During that time, Michael immersed himself in learning sales and was mentored by esteemed professionals, including Phil Rae, David Yoho, and Rick Grosso, greatly expanding his knowledge of the In-Home Sales Process and professional sales strategies. This experience helped to create his passion for strategic thinking, authenticity, serving others through understanding and meeting their needs, and a passion for all things SALES, SALES, SALES!

Michael joined Window World in 2017. He brought with him an education in business operations and construction law, along with extensive experience in sales strategy, financial operations, installation, and product knowledge, which contributed to his success as Southeast Regional Manager. Because of his seemingly ceaseless work ethic and his “glass half full,” “always encouraging” approach, Michael led the region in attaining a stellar reputation of uninterrupted success. He was promoted to Director of Strategic Projects in 2021 and assumed his current role of Director of Sales in 2023. He now trains and manages the Regional Management Team and spearheads the Strategic Sales and Store Management Process for all Window World locations nationwide.

Michael is a devoted husband to his wife, Kerri, and a dedicated father to his daughter and son. Whether it be traveling, hiking, camping, or fishing, one of his biggest passions is venturing into the wild with his family. He also faithfully serves the needs of others in his church and community in Tampa and actively gives of his time and resources to the work of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
