Window World’s Dream Ride 2010 Cruises into Historic North Wilkesboro Speedway

Charity festival features antique cars, celebrity guests, thrilling bike and plane stunts and local food and music.

N. Wilkesboro, N.C., June 15, 2010 - Bikers, families and car aficionados alike will want to participate in Window World’s “Dream Ride 2010,” a charity bike ride and family festival taking place in North Wilkesboro, N.C. on Saturday, July 17. The nation’s largest replacement window company is hosting the regional summertime event to raise money for Ebenezer Christian Children’s Home and Window World’s charitable foundation, Window World Cares, which supports St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

“Dream Ride 2010 promises something for everyone – from families and fun-seekers to bike and car enthusiasts,” said Dana Deem, vice president of Window World. “We’re thrilled to bring this one-of-a-kind event to the region and to support two charities very close to the hearts of the Window World family.”

The event kicks off with a two-hour motorcycle ride through scenic Wilkes County, which starts and ends at the Historic North Wilkesboro Speedway. Participating riders will receive a t-shirt, lunch and admission to the festival following the ride. Following the departure of the riders, the Speedway will open its doors to the public as the festival kicks into high gear with an action-packed schedule. Festival entertainment includes:

• Appearances and autograph signings by celebrity guests, including NASCAR and IndyCar veteran, John Andretti; Charlotte Bobcats assistant coach and former UNC-CH star and coach, Phil Ford; and CBS Survivor Africa star, “Big Tom” Buchanan
• A fly-over by airshow stunt pilot Rob Holland
• Stunt bike shows by daredevil Charlie Ross
• NASCAR, IndyCar and Orange County Choppers displays
• Car show hosted by Wilkes County Cruisers
• Music by classic rock cover band, Black Glass
• Kids village with giant inflatables
• Area food and merchandise vendors and more

Proceeds from all ticket sales will be donated to Ebenezer Christian Children’s Home and Window World’s charitable foundation, Window World Cares.
