Window World Supports Rainbow Center with $60,000 Donation

Rainbow Center, Inc. - Give a Child and a Family a ChanceWilkesboro - December, 2008 – Todd Whitworth, President and CEO of Window World, and his wife, Tammy, Chairperson of Window World Cares, recently donated $60,000 to Rainbow Center – Children & Family Services (RCCFS).

"Todd and I are fortunate and grateful to give back to organizations that help children in our community," says Tammy Whitworth.

Todd and Tammy Whitworth donated $30,000 of their own money, and this amount was matched by Window World. Funds will be distributed over a period of three years, and they are designated to help needy children served by the center's programs.

The Whitworth's continue to add, "While Window World is a national company, we have strong roots in Wilkes County, and we always want to give back to the people of Wilkes and the surrounding area. Window World, along with Window World Cares, feels privileged to share our success with charitable organizations that impact the lives and health of children in our community and nationally with partners like St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Rainbow Center."

RCCFS helps around 275 children and families per year through Residential Care (group homes), Family Counseling, Bridges Foster Care, High Country First in Families, and the High Country Academy (day treatment) programs.

"We are beyond thrilled to receive this donation from Window World. This gift helps vulnerable children heal and cope with the sadness that has occurred during their young lives. It will truly make a difference for many who are hurting because of circumstances beyond their control," says RCCFS Campaign Chair John Matthews.
